YouTube Kids app has become the go-to destination for families around the world with more than 30 billion views and over 8 million weekly active viewers. YouTube Kids is a blessing for parents. It’s a curated version of the video streaming app that focuses strictly on content that’s appropriate for young viewers. The user interface is also streamlined for easier exploration of available videos. The Good News is it’s coming to TVs.
Since launching the Kids app two years ago, YouTube says it has over 30 billion views and draws over 8 million weekly active viewers. Today, YouTube Kids is launching on smart TVs from LG, Samsung, and Sony.

YouTube Kids isn’t ready for Google’s own TV operating system just yet. The company only says that the app will be available on Android TV “soon.” As always, YouTube notes that inappropriate videos can sometimes slip through its automated Kids screening system unnoticed and encourages parents to flag anything that seems out of place. Search can also be disabled to lessen the odds of bad videos popping up.
