When three former PayPal employees Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim created YouTube in February 2005 where users could upload, share and view content even they had no clue what would unfold years later.
On Feb. 14 that year, YouTube was launched, and on April 23, The first YouTube video, titled " Me at the zoo", was uploaded on April 23, 2005, and shows co-founder Jawed Karim at the San Diego Zoo.
Twelve years down the road, YouTube has become a global phenomenon with over 1 billion users and 300 hours of video uploaded onto the site every minute not only Youtube is ranked No. 2 in Alexa Rankings as well.
